Pomona firefighters battle a 2-alarm blaze at an industrial complex located at 2857 Pomona Blvd. Tuesday afternoon December 13, 2011. Cause of the fire is unknown. The fire prompted the evacuation of "Bare N' Legal Showgirls", a strip club, near the burning industrial complex.

(Will Lester/Staff Photographer) Sgt. Carlo Francisco Eugenio, 29 from Rancho Cucamonga, is laid to rest Monday November 14, 2011 at Riverside National Cemetery. Eugenio, an Etiwanda High School graduate was killed in action on Oct. 29 in Afghanistan and is the first California National Guardsman to be killed in combat in Afghanistan.

Public Works truck smashes through block wall in Pomona

Will Lester/Staff Photographer) A Los Angeles County Public Works big rig smashed through the concrete block sound wall Friday morning August 26, 2011 along the eastbound 10 freeway east of Fairplex Drive in Pomona. Two employees in the truck received minor injuries and were treated at the scene. The truck narrowly missed smashing into a home on the south side of the freeway. Cause of the accident is under investigation.

Car slams into tree on I-10 Holt off ramp in Ontairo

(Will Lester/Staff Photographer) Ontario firefighters and Urban Rescue Team took approximately an hour to free the passenger of an Acura after the driver lost control of his car and slammed into a tree in the center divider of the westbound exit of the 10 freeway in Ontario. Both directions of traffic for the westbound exit ramp and eastbound on ramp to the 10 freeway at Holt Boulevard were shutdown for approximately an hour to extricate the man.
